FAQs
How long does a workshop last?
The basic introductory session lasts for 2 hours. The education workshop can be run as a single one-off event or as part of a course.
How do you ensure everything is clean and tidy afterwards?
We have table covers and provide our own wash station. We have a HEPA filter vacuum cleaner and cleaning products on hand just in case; but we haven’t needed them yet.
Is there an age restriction?
To the basic workshop the age is restricted to 12 years of age. We have done bespoke events for children of 6 years and upwards.
Are there any health and safety considerations?
We take your health and safety very seriously and provide the correct PPE (personal protective equipment) for the work being undertaken . We also take steps to minimise any risk posed by the materials we work with.
Are there any space restrictions?
This depends on the type of workshop being implemented. The basic workshop requires a table with enough space to work with the materials, around 600mm².
Are there any restrictions on the number of people who can attend?
The maximum number for the basic workshop is 14 people. For our education workshops, we can deliver to 70+ students providing ample space is provided. For big workshops like this, we will require 2-3 additional staff members to be present.
Are refreshments provided?
No, sorry! Please bring something to eat and drink if you like.
What equipment is provided?
We provide goggles, gloves (nitrile), aprons, and dust masks (ffp2) together with the casting materials. You may wish to bring a notebook and refreshments.
What should I wear?
Please wear old clothes or clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty. Aprons and safety equipment will be provided.
